Air

I never want to walk these days. It’s an effort. It didn’t use to be. But there are always compensations. Always. Like the smell of the morning air. At 4.00 am today it was delicious. The rain from the night before had made every so fresh and new. I smelt green, I smelt the breeze and there were the scents of lilac, honeysuckle and elderflower. They were my gift for which I am so thankful.
